Sunrise from Fitz Roy
The meaning of El Chaltén is ‘Smoking Mountain’. It’s usually covered by the fog around the peak, but that morning it was so clear! It was worth waking up early to hike for an hour to see a perfect sunrise😋🌄
Such a beauty of colors!

Day 1: Laguna Toro and the valley
My friend and I headed to our first campsite where was located near from Laguna Toro. Getting there from El Chaltén was a long walk. It took like 8 hours, even it was flat most of the time.
The weather was so sunny and enjoyable in the beginning but when we entered to the Toro valley, we could see that all the fogs were surrounding the campsite and beyond the mountains and glaciers. The campsite was so freezing because of the wind blew over from the glaciers and It made me to wear all the clothes I had and stay in the tent whole night. I will never forget how that wind was so cold.
